As the seventh addition to the Dormie Network—a collection of exclusive golf clubs across the United States—GrayBull offers a unique blend of challenging play and luxurious amenities.
Location and Design
Nestled in the Nebraska Sandhills, the largest sand dune formation in the Western Hemisphere, GrayBull Club is set against a backdrop of rolling dunes and native grasses. This distinctive landscape provides a serene and picturesque environment for golfers. The course was designed by renowned architect David McLay Kidd, known for his work on Bandon Dunes and Mammoth Dunes at Sand Valley. Kidd described the site as "extremely unique" and "like nothing I have ever seen before," highlighting the exceptional nature of the location.
Course Features
The GrayBull course spans up to 7,181 yards and features strategic play elements, including multiple tee boxes and thoughtfully designed landing areas. Tee times are spaced at least 15 minutes apart to ensure a relaxed pace of play and maintain excellent turf conditions.
Amenities
GrayBull Club offers a comprehensive stay-and-play experience with luxury on-site lodging. The accommodations include 13 Executive Cottages and 2 Owners Cottages, each featuring four master suites and common spaces for entertainment. A limited number of cottages opened in August 2024, with the remaining construction expected to be completed in early 2025.
The clubhouse, designed by Sinclaire Hille, serves as the heart of the club. It features a menu highlighting Nebraska’s agricultural heritage, a wrap-around patio, an expansive fire pit, and a fully stocked golf shop offering top equipment, notable brands, and hand-picked logoed apparel and accessories. Adjacent to the clubhouse is the Party Barn, where members can host private dinners, meetings, or gatherings.
