Rolling Knolls Golf Course is a public 9-hole golf course located at 2424 2nd Avenue Southeast in Dyersville, Iowa

Known for its family-friendly atmosphere, the course offers a layout that is both accessible to beginners and challenging for seasoned golfers, featuring sloping greens that test players' skills.

The course is designed to be easily walkable, making it convenient for golfers who prefer to play without a cart. The clubhouse provides beverages, sandwiches, and a relaxing environment for unwinding after a round. Rolling Knolls also hosts various tournaments throughout the year and is available for family, business, or social events.

In addition to the golf course, Rolling Knolls offers amenities such as a driving range, allowing golfers to practice their swings before heading out onto the course. The facility is part of the Dyersville Area Recreation Association, serving the local community as a place for recreation and relaxation.

In 2024, Rolling Knolls Golf Course faced scrutiny from the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (DNR) due to issues related to drinking water safety. The DNR fined the course approximately $7,400 for failing to consistently test and report the safety of its drinking water since 2018. The course is required to treat its drinking water for bacteria and nitrate contamination and to sample the water daily for chlorine levels, submitting monthly reports to the DNR. However, reports were not submitted from August 2018 until June 2022. During a 2022 inspection, the course produced 16 monthly reports dating back to April 2020, but it was unclear where the data originated or why they hadn't been submitted earlier. Despite these reporting issues, monthly lab tests indicated that the water was in compliance with safety requirements. The DNR ordered Rolling Knolls to submit daily test results, post notices of the violations, pay past-due public water supply fees, demonstrate possession of a proper chlorine test kit, and install a well vent.

In response to the DNR's actions, Rolling Knolls addressed the situation on their Facebook page, assuring patrons that the water is safe and that samples are submitted each month for testing and shared with the state. They attributed the issue to paperwork not being submitted and stated that they are working on updating their records to comply with regulations.

Despite these challenges, Rolling Knolls Golf Course remains a valued part of the Dyersville community, offering a welcoming environment for golfers of all ages and skill levels. The course's commitment to providing a quality golfing experience, along with its amenities and event-hosting capabilities, continues to attract both local residents and visitors to the area.
