Northern Spy Golf Club is a private, 18-hole golf course located in the town of Easton, Massachusetts. The course was designed by Gil Hanse, one of the most respected golf course architects in the world, and opened for play in 2018. The club's name is a reference to the Northern Spy apple, which is grown in the area and has a long history in Massachusetts.
The course at Northern Spy is situated on a beautiful piece of land that includes rolling hills, mature trees, and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Hanse's design is a masterful combination of classic and modern elements, with strategic bunkering, wide fairways, and greens that are both challenging and fair. The course is also notable for its natural-looking hazards, including rock outcroppings, wetlands, and a stream that runs through the property.
One of the most impressive aspects of Northern Spy is the quality of its conditioning. The fairways are lush and perfectly manicured, the rough is thick and penal, and the greens are fast and true. The course is maintained to the highest standards, and members enjoy playing on a layout that is always in pristine condition.
The club is also known for its excellent practice facilities, which include a large driving range, short game area, and putting green. Members have access to a team of experienced instructors who provide personalized instruction and coaching to help golfers of all skill levels improve their games.
In addition to its golf facilities, Northern Spy also boasts a beautiful clubhouse that offers members a comfortable and elegant place to relax and socialize. The clubhouse features a bar and lounge area, a dining room, and a pro shop stocked with the latest equipment and apparel from the top golf brands.
Northern Spy is a private club, and membership is limited to a select group of individuals who share a passion for golf and a commitment to excellence. Memberships are available at various levels, including full golf, social, and junior categories, and the club offers a range of events and activities throughout the year, including tournaments, clinics, and social gatherings.
Overall, Northern Spy Golf Club is an exceptional golf course that offers members a world-class golfing experience in a beautiful and serene setting. With its top-notch facilities, expert instruction, and commitment to excellence, it is no wonder that Northern Spy has quickly become one of the most sought-after golf clubs in the region.
